Soy Vs. Paraffin-the facts
Who hasn't enjoyed the beauty, fragrance and effects of a 'regular' paraffin candle? But, did you ever wonder about that black, sooty residue that begins to accumulate almost as soon as you light the wick? According to the state of California's Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986), there are at least SEVEN toxins in paraffin candle wax, including neurotoxins and carcinogens. Paraffin wax is a by-product of oil refining, it is a petroleum product.
